Declared Brain Dead & Partly Paralyzed
My nephew was in a motorcycle accident that left his head “a bloody pulp with the ridges in his brain that impact functionality gone.” He was on a ventilator for two weeks and declared brain dead. Upon removing the life support, he began to breathe, speak, and move the left side of his body which was supposed to be paralyzed. My nephew was released to go home with only limited therapy required for the short-term memory loss.
